Short-term support that gives your family
Space to breathe
Caring for someone at home can be deeply rewarding — but it’s also demanding.
Respite care from Autograph Care offers a flexible, short-term stay in one of our homes so you can recharge, travel, recover from an operation, or simply get some breathing room — while knowing your loved one is safe, comfortable and well looked after.
Our respite stays are available across our homes in
Wakefield and Oldham,
and give your family the reassurance of professional, compassionate care without any long-term commitment.
What is Respite Care?
Respite care is a temporary placement lasting anywhere from a few days to several weeks. During a respite stay your loved one receives the same high standard of residential care as permanent residents: accommodation, meals, medication support and access to activities and social life — all delivered by our trained and friendly teams.
Respite care is ideal if you need:
A short break or holiday away from caregiving duties
Time to recover after surgery or hospital discharge
A trial stay to see whether full-time residential care may be the right option
Emergency cover when usual carers are unavailable
What’s Included with Respite Care?
When you book a respite stay at an Autograph home, the fee covers:

A private, comfortable room (many with en-suite facilities)

All meals, snacks and refreshments prepared by our chefs

24/7 personal care and support from our care team

Daily activities, social events and companionship

Housekeeping and laundry services

Medication assistance and liaison with visiting clinicians

Access to gardens, lounges and communal spaces
Optional extras (hairdressing, private therapies, local transport for outings) are available on request and will be discussed upfront.
